Heidi Montag pulls plug on reality show

Former “Hills” star Heidi Montag has reportedly passed on a chance to participate in another reality show.

A reality program that was rumored to feature Montag and former “Laguna Beach” and “HIlls” alum Jen Bunney living in a Malibu beach house, seems to have fallen out of favor with the Crested Butte native.

“Originally I was supposed to do a reality show with Heidi, but right now it looks like some things have changed,” Bunney wrote on her site. “I don’t know if Heidi wants to be involved in reality TV at the moment with everything going on in her personal life (no we are not in a fight, and no Heidi is not ‘dropping’ me to do reality shows with the twins).”

Montag recently separated from husband and former “HIlls” star Spencer Pratt, and has been rumored to be developing reality show with Playboy founder Hugh Hefner’s twin ex-girlfriends, Kristina and Karissa Shannon.

Bunney later wrote on her site, “Although, I of course wanted to pursue this project with her I also respect that she has a lot to deal with right now and have to decided to go ahead and move forward with it alone.”

Could Heidi’s opting out be a sign she is finally being drawn back to her Crested Butte upbringing of world class skiing? It certainly appears possible given the subtle references Montag has shared as of late.

Montag recently wrote on her Twitter, “waking up literally realizing I need to change EVERYTHING in my life. Get back to my roots, mountain girl nature.”

Putting all the Team Heidi and Team Lauren junk aside, this writer gives his big approval for Team “Butte.”
