VholdR announced today the brand has offically renamed itself to Contour, mirroring the name of their popular wearable high-definition video camera.

Contour is the official camera partner of the X Games and Winter X Games, as the company continues to plant their flag in the action sports community. In fact, many athletes at this week’s X Games 16 will be wearing a ContourHD during practice events and laps.

In addition to their roots in action sports as a whole, Contour has devleoped an impressive foothold in the winter sports community, as skiers and snowboarders have frequented their use with many ski resorts such as Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Frisco, Heavenly, Jackson Hole/Teton Village, Kirkwood, Lionshead, Mammoth Lakes, Mountain Creek, Squaw Valley, and Vail, offering their ContourHD for rental at kiosks.
