In Larskupr, Coloardo a bear opened an unlocked car door and climbed in, smelling the peanut butter and jelly sandwich that was left in the backseat. The car door closed behind the bear, trapping it inside of the car. While stuck inside, the bear bumped into the gearshift, putting the car into neutral causing it to roll down a 125 foot hill, crashing into some trees on the way down. Hearing the noise, some residents of Larkspur called the Sheriff’s Office, and two deputes were able to free the bear by using a long rope to open the car door, letting the bear run off. Besides from the crash, the bear tore up the dashboard of the car, ripped up the interior, broke the windshield, and deployed the airbags. While the car is now destroyed, insurance will pay for the damages.
