Alta Ski Area has officially opened their doors for the 2010-11 season. This early opening includes some new offers for hitting the slopes, as well as some changes in their package deals. Alta wants local skiers to know that skiing in Alta is not only affordable, but also full of options.
Alta resort is now offering a Young Adult Pass for skiers 18 to 25 years of age. As Alta spokesperson Connie Marshall explained, “We are in a unique economic environment where more and more of our college-age skiers are having to work more hours and take fewer classes”.
It seems that Alta has been taking notes and making changes in light of the economic demands that many skier/college students are faced with. “The old model of offering an incentive to full-time college students has become impractical.”
Now priced at $599 as a limited time offer until September 29, Alta hopes that this important demographic will be able to stay a part of skiing the slopes this next season.
Alta resort also plans to offer the children of Utah reasons to hit their slopes. Passes are priced from $99 to $199 if purchased before the September 29 deadline. These options offer resident families in the state of Utah a great opportunity to make skiing an impactful and positive part of their upcoming winter.
Season pass sales begin today-Wednesday, August 4th.
