Swedish freeskiing superstar and 2014 Olympic hopeful, Jon Olsson, is back on the grind trying to make good on his bet to earn an improbable spot on the Swedish Ski Team at the next Winter Games. Between competing in X Games, hosting his signature freestyle skiing event, or participating in heli park shoots; Olsson has been dedicated the past few years of his life towards proving nay-sayers wrong by attempting to become the first racer turned freeskier turned racer again?

Like any serious ski racer, Olsson is currently training and competing down in the Southern Hemisphere, which has resulted in some fellow ski celebrities popping up next to the Swede.

As we’ve covered, the world’s best alpine racers have descended on New Zealand for the first ski races of the season including American ski stars Bode Miller and Lindsey Vonn.

The Americans had a great day during the GS race with the U.S. Ski Team capturing a podium sweep for the men. In an ironic twist, the video not only blends the freeski and race worlds, but also gives us an inside look at the other job held by the unlikely American hero who earned the GS victory at Coronet Peak.
