The Meeting: Aspen/Snowmass hosts ski and snowboard industry summit on September 23-26

Aspen/Snowmass will once again host “The Meeting” on September 23-26, 2010 as the premier gathering of snowsports filmmakers, athletes, sponsors, media and fans returns to the Colorado resort.

The 2010 event is celebrating its sixth anniversary and continues to be the cornerstone kick-off event for the ski and snowboard industry each season. The latest snow films will be screened while parties and the fourth annual D&E Fashion Show will surround the films. In addition, private sessions with guest speakers and athletes will allow for spirited discussion on the state of the industry.

The eighth annual NEPSA Video Awards will kick off The Meeting on Thursday, September 23, at the Wheeler Opera House. The NEPSA Awards provides an opportunity for athletes and filmmakers to work together in crafting and showing their own ski/snowboard movie while competing for a cash prize. This year there are three themes to choose from: Ski School, Shreddin’ While Sleddin’, and Super Heroes. Filmmakers will be judged equally on each theme and are asked to pick one theme and stick with it. There is $3,500 in prize money on the line for the 2010 NEPSA Awards.
