Last season Mammoth Mountain opened for ski operations on October 16th, and had things really popping by November. If the resort is able to open to skiers and boarders anywhere even close to the same time frame this year, visitors to the ski area could fly into Mammoth Yosemite airport at a fraction of the normal cost.
For just $39 each way, travelers can purchase flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to Mammoth (MMH) under a one-week sale that begins today and ends Aug. 31.
This deal can be booked by phone or online at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area or Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air. A 14-day advance purchase is required. The offer is good for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays between Sept. 7 and Dec. 15.
Theoretically, travelers can fly round trip for a mere $92 (including taxes) under the discount provided they book both legs under the cheapest rates.
So go ahead and Play Big at Mammoth this fall!
