U.S. Nordic Combined skier Bryan Fletcher is once again gearing up efforts to raise funds to fight Leukemia and Lymphoma. Fletcher, a childhood Leukemia survivor, will team with Red Banjo Pizza in Park City, UT to host an autograph party on Thursday, September 2, 2010. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

From 5:00-7:00 p.m. the public is welcome to meet Fletcher and his Olympic medal-winning teammates, including individual silver and gold medalists Johnny Spillane and Billy Demong. In addition, attendees can also meet the other members of the U.S. Nordic Combined Ski Team that made history in Vancouver such as Taylor Fletcher, Eric Camerota, Nick Hendrickson, and Brett Denney.

According to Fletcher, Red Banjo will match the money raised to make donations all that much more worthwhile.

“Since we have the dollar bill wall up at the Banjo, they have agreed to match the money raised,” said Fletcher. “I think it will be pretty cool and we appreciate their support.”

The ‘dollar bill wall’ is a section at the Red Banjo where people have been pinning dollar bills. Each year the money is collected and donated to charity. This year the wall is helping Fletcher raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Since his victorious battle with leukemia, Fletcher has made every day count by using his notoriety to help raise money and awareness for a cause that hits home. Fletcher has previously participated in several other related fundraisers such as Salt Lake City’s “Walk For Hope” last October.
