The exclusive sneak preview premiere of Ski Channel’s “The Story” comes to Buck Hill Ski Area’s Whittier Room tomorrow night, October 1, 2010. This screening marks the first official stop on The Ski Channel Film Tour that is travelling across the country, spreading the message of mountain sport infatuation through ski cinema.
Featured in “The Story” are a roster of mountain sports’ biggest stars showing off their unfathomable talent including the likes of Olympians Bode Miller and Lindsey Vonn, and 2010 Winter X Games champion Bobby Brown.
The Ski Channel is proud to kick off the film tour at Lindsey Vonn’s home mountain, with the premiere sponsored by Pierce Skate and Ski, the very same shop that sold Vonn her first pair of skis as a little girl.
This special showing of “The Story” is in conjunction with Frightmare’s & Oktoberfest, a Benefit for Adaptive Skiing.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the movie will get underway at 8 p.m. Door charge is $20 and includes food, live music and a ticket to Frightmare’s. Along with “The Story” premiere, Frightmare’s & Oktoberfest is chock full of activities and offerings for all ages including haunted houses, beer, brats, and face painting.
