Obermeyer names ski industry veteran Robert Yturri Senior V.P. Product And Brand Management

Aspen-based Sport Obermeyer is pleased to announce the appointment of 20-year industry veteran Robert Yturri as Senior Vice President of Product and Brand Management. In his new role, Yturri will serve on the company’s senior executive team and will be held accountable for all aspects of product and brand management including design, merchandising, creative services, production as well as business development. Yturri will report to Obermeyer’s Founder and CEO, Klaus Obermeyer.

Yturri has a 20-year history in the outerwear and active sport industries and comes to Obermeyer from Spyder Active Sports where he served as merchandise director focused on the active and freeride categories. In his position with Spyder, Yturri played a key role in growing these categories year-over-year. Prior to Spyder, he held a variety of senior posts ranging from category management to sales and marketing at globally recognized companies including Black Diamond Equipment and The North Face.

Yturri is a 360-degree outdoorsman and action sports enthusiast immersed in ski/telemark and snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing, rock/ice climbing, mountaineering and trail running. He is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications. He will be living in Aspen, Colorado with his family.
