Ski superstar Tom Wallisch pays tribute to hometown with Scott pro model goggle

It’s no secret that Tom Wallisch’s ski career has been anything but ordinary. Originally hailing from Pittsburgh, Wallisch faced a myriad of logistical hurdles growing up that might have kept his dazzling ski talent from reaching it’s full potential. But we all know what happened – Wallisch worked his tail off to get as good as possible while back East, studied hard, and got accepted to the University of Utah. Following the move to Utah, Wallisch skied his brains out, shot some videos, uploaded them to the internet, and the rest is as they say it – history.

Now that Wallisch has gone on to gain international acclaim, SCOTT Sports felt he was ready to carry the brand with his own pro model goggle. So when the time came for designers and Wallisch to come up with an idea for the Tom Wallisch Signature Fix Goggle, it was a natural fit for Wallisch to call upon his Pittsburgh roots for a little artistic inspiration. Wallisch worked with SCOTT designers to create a goggle that incorporates the color scheme and prints of the famed PIttsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates; as well as his own pretzel insignia.

“I was pumped to have so much involvement in designing my own goggle. The Fix is definitely the best goggle I’ve ever worn and the graphics SCOTT came up with are just what I wanted. I’m stoked!” remarked Wallisch.

The Tom Wallisch Pro Model Fix is based off the highly successful Fix Goggle and features SCOTT’s proven Natural Light (NL) – 32 lens. The Wallisch Pro Model is set to hit stores in limited quantities mid-November with a retail price of $110. To place an order, please contact your local sales representative.

Be sure to keep your eyes out for the new goggle this fall on Wallisch, as he has already been rocking it during the city big air contests such as last month’s Zurich. The new goggle completes Wallisch’s head-to-toe SCOTT setup which consists of his SCOTT Pro Model Fix, Punisher Jib skis, and Team Issue Poles.
