Trick or treat? This one sounds purely like a Halloween treat ski and snowboard lovers can only dream about.

Wolf Creek Ski Area, located in Southwestern Colorado, will open the mountain for the 2010 – 2011 winter season starting this Saturday, October 30th. Treasure, Bonanza and Nova lifts will be operating daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Wolf Creek received 10 inches of wet snow earlier this week, blanketing the mountain with a great base.

Conditions are considered to be really good with many hazards and early season obstacles. The terrain serviced by Treasure, Bonanza and Nova will be open without rope closesures; skiers and boarders are expected to ski cautiously because of the many early season obstacles.

Lift tickets will be $31.00 for adults and $18.00 for seniors and children until further notice.

The Wolf Creek Ski and Snowboarding School, Ski and Snowboard Rentals, Wolf Creek Lodge, Treasure Sports and Pathfinder Bar will be open from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
