Over 100 people, including zombies and multiple Michael Jackson look-alikes, convened Friday, Oct. 29 at Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR) to participate in the second annual “Thriller Snow Dance.” The snow dance was designed to welcome winter temperatures, celebrate early-bird season pass prices and jumpstart the 2010-2011 winter season set to get underway Nov. 20 when the resort is scheduled to open.

“This year’s Thriller Snow Dance was a celebration of the 21 inches of snow we received this past week, as well as a reminder to Mother Nature to bring the snow to Utah,” said Krista Parry, director of marketing and communications for Park City Mountain Resort. “It’s amazing how many people showed up to ensure that Park City Mountain Resort has a fantastic year. I’m pretty sure that Michael Jackson’s attendance is a good omen for a very snowy season.”

Participants, from young to old, enjoyed a two-hour dance lesson from Brooke Clawson and Jamyn Miller, of Precision Dance Camps, prior to the “official” Thriller Snow Dance. This year’s complimentary face painting was a perfect addition to create a zombie-like atmosphere prior to the Halloween holiday.
