Breckenridge Ski Resort Celebrates Opening Day Like Never Before!

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo.-Nov. 12, 2010- The most visited ski resort in North America welcomed the 2010-2011 ski season this morning with six inches of new snow, blue skies and more than 290 acres of skiable terrain. The lively crowd of skiers and riders at Breckenridge Ski Resort were greeted with free “BreckBerry” French toast and coffee at the new Ski Hill Grill at the base of Peak 8 just prior to the first chair at 9 a.m.

Breckenridge opened the 2010-2011 ski and ride season like never before with a grand opening consisting of new entertainment, lodging and dining attractions on the mountain including the new Gold Runner Coaster, One Ski Hill Place, A RockResort, Ski Hill Grill, après hot spot the T-Bar and much more.

La Niña  has begun, providing above average, early-season snowfall and mountain conditions, setting Breckenridge up with a healthy 34-inch mid-mountain base for opening day.  Snow is being forecast for the weekend.
