After opening a week early on Nov. 13 and receiving more than six feet of snow, Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort continues to open new terrain and chairlifts. An early-week storm delivered a foot of snow on Monday and Tuesday further improving skiing and riding conditions at Snowbird, which is currently offering more than 3,000 vertical feet of skiable terrain.

Peruvian Gulch will open Friday, Nov. 19, with excellent conditions. The Aerial Tram, Gadzoom and Chickadee lifts are now open for the season as is the Creekside restaurant, ticket office and retail store. The Mid-Gad chairlift will open for the season on Monday, Nov. 22 followed by the Wilbere chairlift Wednesday, Nov. 24, and Peruvian Express on Friday, Nov. 26.

“We are very fortunate to have some of the best November skiing and riding Snowbird has had in years,” said Dave Fields, Snowbird Vice President of Resort Operations. “The conditions for Thanksgiving weekend should be excellent.”

The National Weather Service is calling for a significant storm to hit Little Cottonwood Canyon Sunday followed by several days of forecasted snowfall.
