Powdr Corp proudly announced today Olympic Gold Medalist Ted Ligety has signed a multi-year agreement with Powdr Corp to become an ambassador of all the ski resorts, representing each of the mountain resorts individually. New this year is a Powdr Corp focus across their resorts in support of our US Ski and Snowboard Teams (USSA) who performed so successfully at the 2010 Olympics.
“I am very pleased to be working with Ted as an ambassador of all the Powdr Corp family of resorts,” says John Cumming, Powdr Corp CEO. “Ted is such a remarkable individual, and an overall amazing person to be around, that I feel he will be a great ambassador for all our resorts.”
“Copper is really the best place to train early season,” says Ted Ligety. “Here at Copper, it’s really also one of the only places with a lot of vertical this early in the season. There are no other places in the U.S., or even the world, with the kind of conditions Copper has, especially in October and November.”
This week, Ligety and the Men’s U.S. Ski Team are race training at Copper Mountain in preparation for a challenging World Cup season. Copper’s high alpine access, North-Facing slopes, long runs and amazing early season snowmaking allow every level of racer, including the Men’s and Women’s Alpine Teams, to train at Copper in the early season.
The Powdr Corp family of resorts Ted Ligety will be working with include:
- Copper Mountain Resort, Colorado
- Park City Mountain Resort, Utah
- Killington Resort, Vermont
- Pico Resort, Vermont
- Mt. Bachelor, Oregon
- Boreal Resort, California
- Soda Springs Resort, California
- Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort, Nevada
- Gorgoza Tubing Park, Utah
