Bringing the industry together in a friendly race of agility, style and athletics – and IS Eyewear will host the first ski/snowboard combo obstacle competition, Office Booyz & Girlz, during SIA’s On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest at Winter Park Resort’s Re-railer Terrain Park on Monday, January 31 from Noon to 2P.

“Open to all skill levels, Office Booyz & Girlz s is a ‘non-contest’ contest for all those full-time industry desk jockeys who slave away inside the office to make great things happen for people on the mountain and within the industry,” explained Chad Mihalick from

The contest will feature obstacles that are “office size” to set the stage for people of all skill levels to participate and have fun. Cornerstone obstacles, including the infamous quasi-big air jump and donut jam, are fun for all and special events such as the O.B.lympics always add an element of surprise and fun.

The contest format will include 3 to 5 main obstacles/features. Office Booyz and Girlz will line up at the first feature, session it for about 15 to 20 minutes and then move on to the next feature. The event run time is about 60 to 90 minutes, depending on how quickly things move along.

“Desk jockeys unite for a fun day far away from florescent lights, full of office sized obstacles, donuts, coffee, cold ones and a chance to walk away a winner for just showing up,” said Karl Fuhre, Founder & President of Office Booyz.

During the contest, judges will be looking to award non-traditional prizes such as Most Excuses, Office Booyz/Girlz Spirit Award, Amper Award, Blue Ballz, Brass Ballz, Scorpion King, Oldest Office Booy/Girl, and anything else we can think of. An awards ceremony will follow the competition at 4:30P with free beer and prizes.

“Office Boyz & Girlz helps remind us all of why we got involved in this industry in the first place. Good times with good people. Your body will be sore from riding and your stomach will ache from laughing or from eating too many doughnuts,” commented Jared Bevens, Vans Action Sports Footwear & Equipment.
