Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Heavenly and Northstar-at-Tahoe are all now Open with Great Conditions and Epic Early Season Terrain
VAIL, Colo. – Skiers and snowboarders can thank Mother Nature for a feast of powder and record-setting terrain openings in both Colorado and California this Thanksgiving. Vail Resorts six world-class resorts including Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Heavenly and Northstar-at-Tahoe are all now open with epic snow conditions. More snow is expected this weekend for Colorado and California as well so skiers may want to change their Black Friday into a White Friday and head up to the slopes.
Vail Mountain: Plenty to be Thankful for with Nearly 3,000 skiable acres
Just days after opening for the season, continued snowfall, cold temperatures and hours of hard work from Vail’s operations teams allowed the resort to open more lifts and expand its skiable terrain to 2,743 acres, including China and Tea Cup bowls. Opening for the first time this season at 9 a.m., the Riva Bahn Express Lift (#6) and Gopher Hill Lift (#12) in Golden Peak; the Cascade Village Lift (#20) and the Sourdough Express Lift (#14) all kicked into gear this morning. China Bowl and Tea Cup Bowl, served by the Orient Express Lift (#21) and Tea Cup Express Lift (#36) opened at mid-day today. Powder Pilgrims Flock to Breckenridge for New Terrain Openings
Breckenridge Ski Resort also announced significant terrain expansion today, with Peak 9 and its base services complimenting existing skiing and riding on peak 8. Thanks to huge November snowfalls, Breckenridge will also offer expanded terrain on Peak 8, with the Imperial Express lift joining the Colorado Superchair, Rocky Mountain Superchair, Rip’s Ride and Chairs 5 and 6. This culminates in approximately 1,200 acres of skiing and riding for our guests. Visit www.breckenridge.com for terrain updates, snow reports, events and more.

Skiers and riders will refuel and consume 5,000 chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon for the annual Beaver Creek Cookie competition.
