You can WATCH THE SKI CHANNEL from the comfort of your living room.  We are available in over 40 million homes and recently inked a long term deal with comcast.  “Comcast is the Holy Grail for The Ski Channel because they happen to own so many cable systems in either ski resorts, local ski feeder markets like Denver and Salt Lake, as well as destination ski feeder markets like Boston and Washington D.C.,” says Steve Bellamy, CEO.  “The Ski Channel is like a regional sports network in so many of their systems.  It is great that a little independent network like us can get a long term deal Comcast.”

“The Ski Channel brings great independent programming to our customers and is a unique and targeted fit for many of our local markets,” said Matt Strauss, Senior Vice President of New Media at Comcast. Comcast is the premier cable provider for the regions that include a lot of ski resorts across the country and this deal will be making a lot of people very happy.

There’s actually more good news from The Ski Channel regarding it’s production of a slate of original ski films that will be a part of a massive US grass roots film tour in mid-October. I have more to tell you on the nationwide tour and previews on the ski flicks but I don’t want to overwhelm my Comcast friends with too much of a good thing all at once. Stay tuned!

The Ski Channel is an original, free ad supported network delivered on cable, satellite and IPTV services, web, wireless and other means of distribution. It is the only television network devoted to the wide variety of year round mountain activities such as skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, backpacking, climbing, etc, along with many off-slope activities. The Ski Channels’ content will inspire and inform audiences with magazine shows, movies, events, news, weather and programs that focus on destination travel, equipment, instruction and real estate.
