7 day powder forecast

In the past 24 hours Mt. Washington got 24 inches of snow, Timberline Lodge got 18″ and Mt. Hood Meadows got 14″.   The big winners earlier in the week were Snowbird with 2 more feet over the weekend bringing their total to absolute rediculousness.   Steamboat recorded 15 inches overnight on Monday to crack the 100 inch mark.  This ski season is crazy!  So much snow everywhere and the next week will look like this for the west.

Light to moderate snow will persist for the next several days in the Northern Rockies to include Sun Valley, Grand Targhee, Jackson Hole and a shot of heavier snow on Thursday as snow continues in the North.  The Wasatch will see light snow mixed with a bit of freeze into Wednesday with light snow also possible Friday/Saturday.  A new storm will evolve by early next week (Monday-Wednesday) that will finally give the southern Rockies a blast of powder.  You might expect decent accumulations for New Mexico, Southern Colorado by Wednesday however there is still much uncertainty with the exact track at this point.   Photo: Brent Boyer

This week i would recommend Jackson, Targhee and Sun Valley for your best chance at powder skiing
