Sun Valley under Winter Storm Watch through Friday afternoon

A Winter Storm Watch above 6500 feet remains in effect through Friday Afternoon.

* Snow accumulations: 7 to 15 inches.
* Elevation: above 6500 feet.
* Timing: Thursday morning through Friday afternoon.
* Locations include: Ketchum, Sun Valley, Galena Summit, Smiley Creek Lodge
* Winds: southwest 5 to 15 mph.
* Impacts: heavy snow accumulation will make for hazardous travel for those out and about in the back country.

Precautionary/preparedness actions:
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
