A group of resorts in the Lake Tahoe area have come together to offer beginners a can’t loose deal. The 11th Annual Learn to Ski and Board Weekend, scheduled for Dec. 11-12, costs $25 and includes a beginner lift ticket, group lesson and gear rental. Group lessons generally run about 2 hours and your ticket and rentals are good for all day.
There are seven resorts to learn at including Alpine Meadows, Boreal Mountain Resort, Granlibakken, Homewood Mountain Resort, Northstar-at-Tahoe, Squaw Valley USA and Sugar Bowl. Reservations are not required, but participants should arrive early.
