Three frenchmen were killed by an avalance in the Alps near Grenoble.  The men, all in their 40′s and 50′s, were experienced off piste skiers.  They had on all safety gear including two with popular air bag systems.  After the avalanche, another group of touring skiers passed by and immediately called for help.  It was too late.  All skiers were pronounced dead at the scene.  This year, six people have died from avalanches in France
