As of Monday, December 6, 2010, there are 7411 skiers registered for the 2011 American Birkebeiner and Kortelopet events. This means that less than 1000 positions remain in these events.

Last spring the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation, Board of Directors increased the registration cap to 8400 skiers for the 2011 events. An overall registration deadline of January 31, 2011 was also placed on the events.

“We will close race registration when we meet the registration cap or reach the registration deadline, which ever comes first,” explained Ned Zuelsdorff, Executive Director of the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation (ABSF). “Based on the number of race registrations we have received in the past week we anticipate reaching the cap very soon.”(photo: credit link)
