Unreal amounts of snow have covered California resorts.  In particular, Mammoth Mountain has seen the most of this historic snowfall.  Some 9 feet have fallen in the past week and another storm is making it’s way to the quiet mountain town.  High winds knocking over trees, powder drifts the size of houses and a bunch of drivers white knuckling their way to untracked freshies await you.

Mammoth, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Donner Ski Ranch, Homewood, Squaw Valley and Mt. Rose all made the top 10 deepest places on Earth.  That’s right, Earth.  Click here for the complete list from – they made the headline, not us:)

This just in… Snow totals as of 12pm Monday Dec 20th is 9 FEET to 13 ½ FEET and it is still snowing! Talk to you soon. 32” in the last 24 hrs. photos courtesy mammoth resort
