‘Legendary’ holiday conditions at Squaw Valley: 20′ snow totals

Squaw Valley USA is reeling in excellent powder conditions after it’s most recent storm, the result of deep low pressure system, brought a total of 6 feet of new snow to the resort. The new snow brings the resort’s season snowfall totals to a record-breaking 20 feet.

Squaw Valley received nearly 6 feet of snow in the last 5 days, bringing the season’s snowfall totals to a record-breaking 20 feet. More snow is on the way over the next few days. Weather experts predict the resort could receive an additional foot or two of more snow over the holiday week.

This December, guests can celebrate the holidays at Squaw Valley USA. Fireworks, Santa on the slopes, Christmas carolers and the annual Christmas Eve torchlight parade are just a few of the holiday festivities at Squaw Valley USA. New this winter, Squaw Valley welcomes a host of new events for kids and families such as hot chocolate & s’mores snowtubing parties, a New Year’s Eve kids concert and a Christmas stocking scavenger hunt.
