With all this incredible snowfall there is going to be some pretty unstable snow pack out there.  More and more people are interested in the backcountry and an alarming number of those people don’t really know what they are doing out there.  It’s always good to inform and educate yourself about conditions before you go.  Most resorts have easy

FOR RESORT “SIDECOUNTRY USERS”

TOPICS INCLUDE:
USING UAC FORECASTS, HAZARD ASSESSMENT,
SAFE TRAVEL AND TERRAIN RECOGNITION,
“SIDE COUNTRY” USE, SNOWPACK OBSERVATION
AND PARTNER RESCUE
