East coast braces for monster storm

Blizzard warnings have been set for the New York metro area through southeast New England as what U.S. authorities called a “dangerous winter storm” heads up the East Coast.

Airlines including American, Delta, United and continental have started cancelling flights and some have even agreed to waive fees for ticketing changes.  Which is nice, but they’ll still stick it to you on baggage fees.

On Sunday into Monday the first mamor storm of the winter should be near Long Island and heavy snow and very strong winds are expected from the northern Mid-Atlantic into New York and New England on Monday.
