Checking in with Powderchasers – Snow comes back to the West

The Northwest, SIerra, Idaho, Southern Wyoming, and a good portion of Colorado will see heavy snow beginning on Tuesday and lasting through much of this week.  The details are coming together which look to be a sure bet for 1-3 feet in areas and this time all with dry density as opposed to our last weeks massive wet dump! 

 

The Chase?

 

Tuesday: Pacific Northwest, Mount Baker, Stevens, Crystal
Tuesday PM- Squaw, Kirkwood
Wednesday AM- snow beginning to accumulate in the Wasatch heavy by Noon
Wednesday PM 4-9 inches new at Brighton, Snowbird, Alta, Snowbasin -Higher amounts at Snowbasin, Deer Valley, Brighton.
Thursday-Deep day in the Wasatch, Steamboat,Central and Southern Mountains CO especially Silverton, Durango, Wolf Creek

Thursday PM- I-70 mountains should be in the 6-10 inch range even though the bulk of snowfall will be over the South.
