An American Airlines plane skidded off the runway as it was landing at an airport in Jackson Hole, Wyo., today amid heavy snowfall, federal officials told AOL News.

No injuries were reported on Flight 2253, which originated in Chicago, a Federal Aviation Administration spokesman said today by phone.

There were 181 people — 175 passengers, two pilots and four flight attendants — aboard the Boeing 757, the spokesman said. Passengers were driven to the airport terminal in buses.
