Lindsey Vonn lost her balance in a sharp right turn and slid off the course today at the Slalom event in Semmering, AUT.  She came in contact with a course worker and fell into the safety netting.  She got right up and skied to the finish area.  Her main competition for the overall title, Maria Riesch, continues to ski well and finished in second place.

The next best finish for team America was Sarah Schleper in 28th place.  Julia Mancuso did not qualify after her first run.

Maria Riesch holds the overall World Cup points lead 121  points ahead of Lindsey Vonn.
