Three snowshoers werer hiking in the area of Maiden Peak near Wilamette Pass Ski Area on Wednesday when rescuers from 3 counties were called in to help look for the missing trio.  33 workers combined found them around 5 a.m. on Thursday morning.  They were checked by medics and released with no major injuries or problems.

Their cell phone saved their lives.  the were able to give their gps coordinates before losing cell power and SAR instructed them to stay put and dig a snow cave.  Sooooo lucky that they had phones and a gps and great news that they are okay.
