In College, students get involved in numerous clubs to aid their interests.

One of the most popular clubs on the Indiana University campus is the Ski and Snowboard club with between 200-300 active members.

The club organizes events with their member like Rail jams, Movie Premieres, and Socials. But the main activity is the trips both local during the school year and three major trips that happen during each of the school breaks.

The upcoming winter break trip is to Park City, Utah from January 3rd to the 9th.

The club organizes the major trips with Lifestylez Company to make the total expense affordable for college students. Usually, anywhere between 450-600 dollars total for lift tickets, transportation, lodging, and other necessities.

The club is sponsored by Rockstar Energy Drink, in which they receive cases of the drink monthly and is heavily provided on the major trips. On December 10th, the club held a rail jam where DJ was dropping the beats, while club members had a good time grinding the rail brought to the campus.

The club will show the Ski Channel’s “The Story” in the spring semester on campus, which Vice President Mark Fischer said “a well-known person will surprise the audience” during the event.

The S&S club just announced they will be going to Steamboat Spring, CO for their big spring break trip.

This club is on top on campus because of its numerous members and well-known major trips. With ski lovers like these students, the slopes will be very busy when there is powder on the ground.
