Aspen Skiing Company (ASC) is proud to announce a new partnership with Clif Bar & Company, a leading maker of all-natural and organic energy foods and drinks that are great for ASC guests and the planet.

Guests will now find free Clif Bar samples daily on all four mountains in Aspen/Snowmass. Guest service stations will be handing out samples from 9 – 10:30 a.m. daily and Clif Bar will also be supporting events including the Aspen/Snowmass Open and Colorado Freeride Championships.

Clif Bar and Aspen Skiing Company share a commitment to providing their customers with an exceptional product while leveraging their brands to educate their customers about sustainability issues such as climate change, buying local/organic and being active members of the communities in which they operate. Clif Bar is a partner in Business for Innovative Climate and Energy Policy (BICEP) along with ASC. BICEP is an alliance of businesses joining together to impact climate change on a legislative level.

“Bringing Clif Bar’s products to our customers is going to be very well received. It’s a great marriage of brands – companies committed to our environment and values based decision making,” says John Rigney, VP of Sales & Events, ASC. “Plus – they taste great!”

“We’re excited about working with Aspen because we know their passion for the environment runs deep,” said Elysa Hammond, Clif Bar’s Director of Environmental Stewardship. “We applaud their recent steps to support sustainable, local food — they clearly understand the critical link between food choice and a healthy environment.”

In the last decade ASC has migrated toward working with companies whose values are aligned, particularly on the issue of Sustainability. In addition to a partnership with Clif Bar, ASC is proud to partner with likeminded companies including Green Mountain Coffee, Sprint, Teko Socks, Audi, Anheuser-Busch and Coke.
