U.S. Ski Team member and World Cup giant slalom leader Ted Ligety put on another strong showing at the Zagreb, Croatia Slalom finishing just off the podium in 6th place, .73 back of winner Andre Myhrer of SWE. Local hero and crowd favorite Ivica Kostelic just missed his first victory on his local mountain by .10 finishing in second. 3rd place went to Mattias Hargin also from SWE.
David Chodounsky of Crested Butte, CO also qualified for a second run and finished 20th.
Olympic champion Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) just missed qualifying for the second run, finishing 32nd, while teammates Will Brandenburg (Spokane, WA) and Nolan Kasper (Warren, VT) failed to complete the first run.
