Martin Koch wins ski jumping World Cup

HARRACHOV, Czech Republic – Austrian Martin Koch beat World Cup leader Thomas Morgenstern for to claim his first career ski jumping World Cup today.

Koch had jumps of 211.5 and 213 meters to win with 425.2 points.

Morgenstern, who recently won Four Hills, took the lead after the first jump, but his second jump of 190.5 meters left him 3.3 points behind in second place.

Morgenstern still leads the overall World Cup standing with 983 points.
