10 inches of fresh snow and amazing conditions at Attitash

The winter storm has come to end and we have received 10 inches of new snow; a gracious thank you to Mother Nature for delivering ALL this SNOW to Attitash! Yahooo…. the conditions today will be more than you can imagine. The grooming crew has performed their magic and set up beautiful packed powder conditions on 52 trails; we also have 5 trails ungroomed for our more aggressive guests to challenge! Have your snow just the way you like it….Come on over to Attitash for a Winter Wonderland Wednesday!

The primary snow conditions today will be packed powder on 57 trails with 244 acres of terrain open on a 34” to 53” base depth. The secondary surface is machine groomed. On the 5 trails that are ungroomed there may be packed powder as well as variable conditions today!

The National Weather Service Forecast calls for a chance of snow showers. Expect the high temperature near 32 degrees and the wind to come from the NW around 7 mph.

Trails Now Open:

Trails open on the Attitash side; Turkey Chute, Carrigan, Alley Way, Wilfred’s Gawm, Whitehorse, Upper Ptarmigan, Middle Ptarmigan, Lower Ptarmigan, Spillway, Tim’s Trauma, Grandstand, Idiot’s Option, Councilor’s Run, Stoney Brook (by Pass), Farther Out, Lower Saco, Chicken’s Option, Ammonoosuc, Upper Cathedral and Lower Cathedral, Inside Out, Tightrope, Stoney Brook, Upper Saco, Humphrey’s Ledge, Northwest Passage, Far Out, Thad’s Choice, The Learning Center, Snowbelt, Upper Highway, and Moat.

The trails left ungroomed on the Attitash side include, Tims Trauma, Humprhrey’s Ledge, Wilfred’s Gawm and Middle Ptarmigan.

Trails open on the Bear Peak side: Avenger, The Glide Zone, Kachina Falls, Reckoning, Moonbeam, Trillium, Wandering Skis, Pinball Alley, Tilt, Myth Maker, This Way, That Way, Chillymack, Billy’s BBQ, Bear Foot Creek, Cub’s Cut, Bear Foot, Kachina, Illusion, Morning Star, Snow Dancer, Bear Notch Pass, Bear Necessity, Bear Back, and Bear Right.

Myth Maker Pitch is ungroomed.

Lifts operating today are the Flying Yankee, Summit Triple, East Double-Double and the Snowbelt. The Flying Bear, Abenaki Quad will operate on Bear Peak.


We’ve got lots of nice features out on Thad’s Choice heading into the holiday weekend. From the top, a 23-foot box has replaced the long pipe rail for the time being, leading into a smaller box with nice pop. Further down Thad’s we’ve got a 35-foot table on the right and a 24-foot flat rail with a slight up tilt on the left. From there, we’ve got rollers, an 8-foot box and rail, a 24-foot down rail and much more! See you out on the playground!

Hours of Operation:
The lifts will be open today from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Midweek pricing will be in effect for today. Adult Full Day tickets are $63. Young Adult (13-18) tickets are $48 and Junior (6-12) and Senior (65+) tickets are $39

The Nor’Easter Mountain Coaster:

The Mountain Coaster will be open next weekend from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 with a valid lift ticket or season pass; without ticket or pass, a single ride is $12.

We are excited to offer a new package price for 3 rides. 3 Pack tickets are $25 with a valid lift ticket on the day of the purchase or season pass; without ticket or pass, a 3 Pack ticket is $30. These 3 Pack tickets may be used any day during the 2010/2011 Season.

This comming weekend, Attitash will honor our nation’s defenders and their families with free lift tickets for active and veteran service men and women as well as discounted tickets for only $45.00 for active duty family members with ID on January 22 and 23. Guests at the mountain are encouraged to learn about soldiers personal stories through displays in the base lodge. Full event details are also available online.
