Kostenburg Wins X Games Bronze

ASPEN, CO (Jan. 28) – The USA’s Sage Kotsenburg (Park City, UT) earned Winter X Games bronze under the lights Friday in the big air contest in Aspen. Norway’s Torstein Horgmo won gold.

From Denver to Aspen, the big air contest moved across Colorado with riders throwing it down at Winter X Games. Horgmo landed a triple cork to post the highest total score of 80, with second and third close behind. Canada’s Sebastien Toutant scored a 79 to take silver with Kostenburg earning a 77 to finish with bronze.

Olympic bronze medalist in halfpipe Scotty Lago (Seabrook, NH) rallied through a wired shut jaw to finish fifth.

Winter X Games continues Saturday with women’s superpipe and men’s and women’s snowboardcross.
