Sunday River Real Estate, the on-resort agency for Sunday River Ski Resort located in Newry, Maine, announced today the close of the agency’s biggest year of sales ever.

“Achieving such a success in a still hesitant economy is a testament to the confidence our guests have in the resort,” says Mark Hall, VP of Development for Sunday River.

Sunday River Real Estate closed 2010 with sales approximately 53 percent higher than in 2009.  Contributing to that success was an increase in the number of condominiums sold, the addition of three agents, and the resort’s Tempest Ridge real estate development.

Due to the strength of the market, Sunday River has continued its planning process and will announce several new and exciting development projects later this spring.

Owned by CNL Lifestyle Properties and managed by Michigan-based and family-owned Boyne Resorts, Sunday River Real Estate is comprised of six full-time brokers who specialize in selling resort homes and mountain properties throughout Sunday River and the surrounding communities.

Since joining the Boyne Resorts family in 2007, Sunday River has benefited from over $25 million in capital enhancements including the addition of the Chondola, night skiing, and extensive improvements to its lift infrastructure, snowmaking capabilities, and lodging facilities.
