Snow Sports New Zealand CEO Ross Palmer announced today that he is moving on. Palmer lead New Zealand’s governing organization for skiing and snowboarding through a period of rapid growth, including the completion of a complex integration process. Palmer will continue his work as a founder and trustee of SOS Outreach New Zealand, a charity that utilises snow sports among other outdoor activities to work with under-privileged youth.
With Palmer as the CEO, Snow Sports made a formal proposal to the sport’s governing body, the International Ski Federation (FIS) to include snowboard slopestyle in the world championships. Having appeared in the world championships in Spain last month, it can now be considered for the Olympics program.
