Looking for something other than dinner and a romantic comedy on Valentine’s Day?  Check out these Valentine’s Day ski events.

Cranmore Mountain, North Conway, N.H.

Lift tickets are just $14 all day on Valentine’s Day. Also, you can take three rides on the new Mountain Coaster for just $14. www.cranmore.com.

Okemo Mountain, Ludlow, Vt.

Single skiers and riders in search of a match should plan to ride the Black Ridge Triple Chair starting at 1 p.m. on Valentine’s Day. Couples will be created randomly, on the spot, and in the time it takes to ride the lift to the top, fate could make a love connection.  Skiers and riders can also go their separate ways and return to the “Lookin’ for Love Line” again. They’ll also hold a Sweetheart Scavenger Hunt, in which 10 oversized red hearts will be hidden along some of the easiest ski trails. When a skier finds a heart and takes it to the base lodge, he or she will win a prize.

Saddleback Mountain, Rangeley, Maine

They will host their first-ever Chairlift Speed Dating event this Valentine’s Day on the Rangeley double chairlift. For a $25 lift ticket, single men and women will be able to share the eight-minute ride up the mountain as a way to meet new people interested in a romantic relationship.

Black Mountain, Jackson, N.H.

Get a jump on things and do your chairlift speed dating on Feb. 12. Their event starts with registration in the pub at 12:30 p.m., then takes to the chair at 2.
