After winning the Super G on the challenging Kandahar course in Garmisch Partenkirchen at the Alpine World Championships, Elizabeth Goergl sits in first place after the downhill portion of the Super Combined.  Swiss skier Dominique Gisin finished in second, 0.26 seconds off the pace. Sweden’s Anja Paerson stands third, 0.27off the pace.  The event continues with the slalom at the newly remodeled and awesome venue, the Gudiberg.

Julia Mancuso is in 9th place, .91 back going into the slalom.

Lindsey Vonn is still not quite 100% and will skip the slalom to recover from a concussion she suffered last week while racing.
