Mammoth Mountain has one of the best halfpipes of all the ski resorts out there.  Terrain parks too, for that matter.  So it’s no suprise that locals from Mammoth took first, second and fourth in  the halfpipe event at the Dew Tour.  Luke Mitrani took the gold with Greg Bretz taking silver and Jack Mitrani taking bronze.

Luke Mitrani put down an incredible run with a double Michael chuck, frontside 9, backside 5, front 10 and a cab double 10 to earn a staggeringly high score of 97.00 and the gold medal.

Steve Fisher threw down with the first double cork of his career for third.

“It was a great contest, the last stop of the Dew Tour, and the crowd was amazing. A really good energy,” said Mitrani. “I can’t believe I won. I’ve never won a contest this big so I’m really tripping.”

While seventh wasn’t exactly what he hoped for, Vito’s consistency in the Tour’s first two stops still earned him the Dew title.

“I’m bummed I didn’t make the podium, and I wasn’t completely satisfied with my riding tonight,” said Vito. “The level of riding was sick though, and in the end I’m stoked I got the Dew Cup.”
