Waterfall cliff jumping on Whistler’s Peak Chair

Clank, clank, clank, woohoo, woooooo, woah!  Sound familiar?  If you’ve ever found yourself on top of the Waterfall via the Peak Chair at Whistler Mountain you surely know what i’m talking about.  Located a short distance  from the lift line, the Waterfall provides a perfect vantage point to watch people sending it off the famous cliff ban.  The folks in line do their best to cheer on and encourage experts and novice skiers alike who take their turns at testing their guts and hucking their meat for the delight of the crowd and proving to themselves they could do it.  You can pick from 10 feet and venture your way up to 100 feet depending on snow pack.  I remember doing it back in the day of skinny skis and North Face Steep Tech gear and feeling like a champ, even though i was a beater.  Sure felt good, though.  As it did for all of these yahoos who had a ton of fun on a deep Whistler powder day.
