First Ascent is hitting the road at the end of February and throwing a party at the Snake River Brewery on Saturday, Feb. 26th in Jackson, Wyoming.  After a good day of skiing or snowboarding on the mountain, apres with free beers, mountain guides and giveaways, and see some First Ascent ski gear in person.

Jackson is home to two First Ascent Team members, Kent McBride and Lynsey Dyer.  Lynsey is currently in India filming for Warren Miller, but Kent will be there in person. He’s been guiding in Jackson for a long time, and he, like all of the First Ascent athlete team, helps to build and test gear from scratch.  That’s their Guide Built approach to product development. The gear not only gets the team’s design input, but it has to perform up to their standards before it ever becomes available to customers.

“The event on Saturday is really about taking our turn to support the local community at Jackson, so in addition to buying drinks and giving away some gear, we’re matching our spend at the bar and donating it to the folks who watch everyone’s back on the mountain – Teton County Search & Rescue.”  says First Ascent/Eddie Bauer spokesman Paolo Mattola.

First Ascent will be at Alta Friday, Feb 25th,  Squaw Valley next Friday and at Crystal Mountain, WA, March 19. check it out on facebook.
