2011 marks the eleventh year SLUG has taken the magazine to the slopes, bestowing its readers with the region’s best amateur ski/snowboarding series.  Year after year, SLUG Games has hooked up Utah’s amateur skiers and riders with the most inventive competitions in the state. Past entrants have included pros Stevie Bell & Bode Merrill.

In this years event titled, Construction to Destruction, competitors will be jumping and jibbing on obstacles one would find at construction sites around town. The stellar course designed by the SLUG Games crew and Brighton’s Park crew will feature barrels, Road Closed signs and barriers a plenty.

Slug Magazine is a free offering from Salt Lake Underground giving you the scoop on music, art, action sports and the suprisingly large underground subculture that exists in the seemingly straight laced capital of Utah.  With distribution totaling 30,000 issues, SLUG can be found just about anywhere worthy of being cool, on the first Friday of the month.  SLUG also puts on the Summer of Death, Craft Lake City and Localized events throughout the year.  check out their website at
