Spring events and more snow than any month this March at Snowbird

From big mountain freeskiing to powder skiing and riding followed by live music on the Plaza Deck, March is Snowbird’s most event-packed month of the year. March is also the month when the snow piles up. Little Cottonwood Canyon averages more snow in March than any other month of the year.

Upcoming Events

SPRING PASSES ON SALE – MARCH 1

Unlimited tram laps for skiing and riding from the top of Hidden Peak starting March 1st for only $499.00.

Unlimited skiing and riding starting April 1st for only $299.00.  Snowbird is open into May pretty much every year.  with 436 inches already and March bringing the most snowfall of any month, ski only 10 times and that’s only $30 / day.

WINTER STARGAZER – MARCH 5

Join local astronomers for an informative presentation followed by a ride to the top of Hidden Peak via Snowbird’s Aerial Tram. From there, you will enjoy an unobstructed view of the evening skies through high-powered telescopes…

Season Tram passes are not valid for this event.

FREESKIING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS – MARCH 8-12

The best venue for spectators on the ciruit, The 2011 Subaru Freeskiing World Tour featuring the best big mountain skiers in the world, continues its North American tour at Snowbird.   A valid lift ticket is and ski or snowboard equipment is required to access the spectator area…

STEVE YOUNG SKI CLASSIC – MARCH 19

The Forever Young Foundation, Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort and American Airlines invite you to join our team at this year’s 25th Annual Steve Young Ski Classic. Enjoy a magnificent western BBQ, reception, live and silent auction all in support of the children and adults of Wasatch Adaptive Sports. Your guests will receive a gift from Wasatch Adaptive Sports and a Snowbird Tram Ticket courtesy of Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort. Wasatch Adaptive Sports, established in 1977, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit foundation whose mission is to enhance the quality of life for children, adults and their families with special needs, through recreational, educational and therapeutic programs.
