Vic Wild 15th in parallel slalom World Cup in Moscow

American Vic Wild (White Salmon, WA) finished 15 Saturday in a men’s parallel slalom World Cup in Moscow. Italy’s Roland Fischnaller topped the men’s field.

Wild, the lone American competing in Moscow, advanced to the finals after qualifying in 15th. Wild was faced with a tough first round after drawing the number eight seed, Siegfried Grabner of Austria. Unfortunately, Grabner ousted Wild on his way to a fourth place finish. Finishing ahead of Grabner on the podium was Fischnaller in first, Slovenia’s Rok Marguc in second and Simon Schoch of Switzerland in third.

The next World Cup stop is set for Chiesa in Valmalenco, Italy Mar. 18-19.
