Banzai Tour wraps up: Daron Rahlves takes super final

The Daron Rahlves Banzai Tour has wrapped up after stops at Alpine Meadows, Kirkwood and Sugar Bowl.  With an overall purse of $50,000, over 100 racers competed at each stop.  In a heat style format, racers compete side by side until a winner is declared.   The race is a cross between big mountain skiing and skier cross with the athletes skiing variable terrain and charging around gates, jumps, bumps, moguls and any other obstacles a ski hill can offer.  The finale at the Sugar Bowl Silver Belt Banzai pitted Daron against the winners of the three previous ski races with the winner taking home 10,000 US dollars in a super final.  Daron won convincingly and everyone will have to wait another year for a shot at the superstar.   Check out the tour winners below and check out the video of the super final.  For more info, previous results and much more visit rahlvesbanazi.com
