Park City, Utah - Coming this weekend, the world’s top female professional and amateur skiers and snowboarders alike will travel to Park City to compete at an imperial event; The 6th Annual Queens Cup Open held at Park City Mountain Resort.
The event will kick off on Friday March 25, with the first ever Pro- Throw Down Rail Jam. The slopestyle contest will run on Saturday, March 26 and the halfpipe contest will run on Sunday, March 27.
“Queen’s Cup has always been a great way to get talented girls from all across North America to come out and have a good time,” said professional skier Dania Assaly who skies out of Park City and won the first stop of the Dew Tour. “Skiing is a passion that we all love and commit to year round. To bring a group of enthusiastic girls together and ski hard and progress is something that we do not get to do everyday. I look forward to this event every year.”
This year’s first ever Pro Throw Down, on Friday evening, might feel more like a tiki party than a rail jam but the stakes are high.
With a $500 winner takes all cash purse in each division, female skiers and snowboarders will need to do more than just have a day on the beach.
“The Pro Throw Down is set to be an all out battle royal, showcasing the most creative trickery and energy from the top females skiers and snowboarders,” said Adam Baillargeon of the High Fives Non- Profit Foundation. “Friday will be sick and we look forward to an amazing event!”
